Keith Collins is a physician, Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and has been the founder and CEO of several successful health care companies.
He is the founder and Managing Partner of HealthExcel, an innovative physician-driven medical services company based in Miami, which over the last ten years has incubated a number of successful spinoffs. During his time at HealthExcel, he has been founder and CEO of Better Health, a Florida Medicaid plan that was acquired by Simply Health Care; founder and CEO of Access PSN, which is now Sunshine Health Plan, the second-largest Medicaid HMO in Florida; founder and CEO of PhyTrust of South Carolina, now Absolute Total Care, the second-largest Medicaid HMO in South Carolina; and founder and CEO of DataLoom, a health care data integration company, among others. Prior to starting HealthExcel, Dr. Collins was Senior Vice President at Healthsource, a NYSE-listed health maintenance organization with operations in 16 states, serving as Regional CEO for the health plans in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Before joining Healthsource, he was the Associate Chief of Medical Staff at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Keith earned his BS at Massacuhsetts Institute of Technology and his MD at University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Entering his fifth decade in the field, Daniel T. McGowan, a national leader in the realm of health and human services delivery, has transformed a number of key organizations and served on prominent boards of directors.
Mr. McGowan previously served as president of Emblem Health Services, LLC, the management and service corporation for HIP Health Plans in New York, Group Health Incorporated (GHI), Connecticare Vytra Health Plans and Perfect Health. Under his stewardship, HIP grew from less than $1 billion in annual revenue to over $5 billion and acquired Connecticare, Vytra, and Perfect Health plans in a ten-year period. When HIP and GHI merged in 2006, he was named the first president of Emblem Health Services, Corp., LLC, with annual revenues of over $8 billion.
From 1991 to 1995, Mr. McGowan led the development of Catholic Charities for the Diocese of Rockville Center, New York, emerging as the largest health and human service agency on Long Island. He served as vice president for planning and program development at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and as executive director of both the Nassau-Suffolk Health Systems Agency on Long Island and the Health Systems Agency of New York City.
Mr. McGowan was director of the Midwest Center of Health Planning in Madison, Wisconsin and vice president of the Institute of Health Planning, serving 23 state health department and 118 regional health planning agencies. In addition to teaching Health Care and Public Administration at Long Island University, he held faculty appointments at the University of Wisconsin and at Governor’s State University in Illinois. Mr. McGowan has lectured and written extensively on hospital and health-system planning, development, and regulation.
Today, Mr. McGowan is a private consultant and chairs a number of healthcare, development, and education boards.

Manuel E. Iglesias founded Hygea in 2007 and during his time as CEO and President grew the Hygea model to over 300 million in revenue in 2017. Mr. Iglesias has a vast legal and political experience, as well as background in business development and venture capital arenas. As Co-Chairman of the Board, Iglesias’ focus now is expanding Hygea’s geographical reach and augmenting and integrating the company’s portfolio of services.
Prior to joining Hygea, Iglesias worked as a director and member within the healthcare groups at the Becker & Poliakoff and Ruden McClosky law firms. He has an extensive background in financial services having specialized as an attorney in security and transactional law, was general counsel of a broker dealer, been president of a Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) and served as a HUD co-insurance mortgage lender.
Iglesias graduated from the University of Chicago earning both, a Juris Doctor and a Master in Business Administration. Previously, Mr. Iglesias graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in Foreign Service.
Frank Kelly, Jr. joined Hygea as director and chairman of the board in 2007. His experience encompasses strategic and tactical business assignments across the globe in product marketing, strategic consumer market placement, new product introductions, operations, distribution development, international logistics, and executive development.
Mr. Kelly founded MFK Global, Inc. in 1998 where he has focused on international consumer product marketing, executive operations management, and boards of directors advisory work.
Before founding MFK Global, Mr. Kelly spent 24 years with The Coca-Cola Company, where he worked in various executive positions with domestic and international responsibilities, including worldwide vice president of Coca-Cola Nestle Refreshments. He earned his MBA from Harvard University Business School and holds a B.S. in accounting and finance from Bentley University.

David Hernandez has over thirty years of HealthCare experience. Mr. Hernandez was the founder of Southeast Diagnostic Systems (Florida-Georgia based mobile Ultrasound Diagnostic Company)-eight years. Mr. Hernandez also founded Family Care Medical Centers (Urgent Care and Family Practice Southeast, FL) and successfully merged it developed a multi-location Tri-County Integrated Group Practice-six years.
Mr. Hernandez has served as Chief Operations Officer and Vice President of Business Development for various successful innovative Healthcare Delivery Systems where integration of Pharmacy, Primary Care, Specialty Care and mobile Ancillary Services were used to help coordinate medical care in outpatient, inpatient and homebound settings. Mr. Hernandez founded Cardiac Monitoring Innovations where patients were monitored for Cardiac Arrhythmia’s and Pacemakers remotely through 24 hour staffed telephonic receiving stations where EKG’s were read by registered nurses and consulted with Cardiologist and ambulances were dispensed if needed, thirty years ago currently known as Telemedicine-five years. Mr. Hernandez has been involved in acquisitions throughout his career, in the last three years specifically for a Public Company to acquire MSO’s, IPA’s and physician practices. Mr. Hernandez graduated Western New England University, Wilbraham, MA with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, BSBA, with a major in Accounting.

Jack Mann is a physician, Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease. Dr. Mann is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weil Cornell Medical as well as President & CEO of Heart & Lung Associates and Director of their Sleep Disorders Center. He has spent more than three decades caring for patients while refining his medical knowledge, serving most recently as Chairman and member of the Medical Board of New York – Presbyterian, Queens. Prior to joining Hygea Holdings in 2014, Dr. Mann has served as Founder & now past Co-Director of COAIM IPA (Care Organization using Advance Integrated Medicine). He is currently a member on the Board of Primary Partner Care Accountable Care Organization. Dr. Mann is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. He successfully completed his Pulmonary Fellowship at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York and did his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Booth Memorial Medical Center, in Flushing, New York. In addition to earning his Medical degree from the Università degli Studi in Perugia, Italy, Dr. Mann also received a Master’s in Marine Biology from Long Island University and a Bachelor’s of Science from Moravian College.
Glenn Marrichi has served as an officer and director of Hygea since 2010 and brings extensive strategic and brand healthcare marketing experience to the company. As an executive at major international advertising agencies for many years, Glenn has engaged in brand building and strategic marketing on behalf of some of the world’s leading companies, including Johnson & Johnson, Celebrex, Baxter International, Ciba Vision, The Arthritis Foundation, and McNeil Consumer Products.
A national speaker on the subject of brand value innovation, Mr. Marrichi is a winner of prestigious industry awards, including the American Marketing Association’s Gold EFFIE for advertising & marketing effectiveness. In addition, he has served on the national board of both the Arthritis Foundation and Community Health Charities, the leading workplace-based charity devoted to health causes including the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, and the American Heart Association.
Mr. Campanella has over 30-years of experience as a healthcare executive guiding and advising on how to improve operation and quality (STARS) performance, health plans on Population Health Management, and developing solutions/approaches to drive down IT, operating and clinical costs. Mr. Campanella holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware and holds Board of Director positions with the Live Right Wellness Center of San Diego, California and Salvation Army, Delaware.
Edward (Ted) Moffly cofounded Hygea in 2007 and sits on the Board of Directors. He is the former CFO of IP Gear (OTCQX), an enterprise VoIP company. In that role he engineered the acquisition of Quasar/BOS, an Israeli VoIP gateway company, brought the company public via a downstream merger, and structured major contracts with companies such as Siemens and Excel. Before his work at IP Gear, Mr. Moffly founded and served as CEO of SpinNetworks, a security software company based in Toronto, Canada and Belo Horizonte, Brazil and was the founder COO and later CFO of Denarii Systems a US based processor for Visa and MasterCard. Mr. Moffly was also the CEO of Synergyx, an international IP integration company, which designed, built, and managed IP networks. While at Synergyx, he implemented one of the first fully compliant HIPAA networks on a Cisco platform for healthcare clients throughout the United States. Ted did his undergraduate work at Columbia University and has an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago.

Martha Castillo served as Chief Operating Officer at Hygea for a period of 10 years, during which time she oversaw operations both within the Hygea integrated group practices, as well as in the Palm Medical Network IPA/MSO. Prior to joining Hygea, she worked both as an independent broker representing companies such as AFLAC, AIG, ING, Mutual of Omaha, Humana among many more and as a marketing coordinator at Mercy Health in Miami, Florida. Castillo brings a background in accounting, having serve for 9 years prior to joining Hygea as accountant for companies such as Del Monte, Hellman Worldwide Logistics. She earned a degree in accounting from the University of Texas and a degree in Business Administration from Saint Peters College in New Jersey. In 2007 she received a 2.15 license with the state of Florida, allowing her to work in the sales of Annuities, Health and Life insurance.
